Our family has
been restoring tractors for many years.
My Dad who was a machinist for 29 years, restored classic antique tractors, cars and
trucks, from the ground up, part time. After 29 years of being a machinist, he decided to
go on to further and better things. At that point he got a job at the local community
college in the early 1980's as a professor of the Farm Power Technology program. From
there he worked for 13 years teaching, in the mix then it turned into Diesel Mechanics
Technology, then after many years of teaching, one day the college decided to close the
program down, so that left Dad out of work, learning on his part time, restoration
business. After school each day I worked in the shop on restoration projects, I painted my
first tractor at the ripe old age of 13 and from then on, Dad fell in love with my
paintwork, so still today I try to achieve what he told me.
At the same time that my Dad lost his college job I was about to graduate high school, so
we both got to talking, and decided to go full time as a business in 1992, I had no
college plans because Dad didn't think it was necessary because he taught me what I needed
to know. So as you can figure out I didn't go to college I fell right into a full time job
of restoration.
From that year on we have been full time as a restoration business. Then in April 2000 my
world stopped turning that day when Dad passed away very suddenly of a heart attack.
The business was going to be mine someday, but I didn't think it was going to be so
suddenly. So I decided to keep the business running as usual, without Dad by my side, that
is what he would want me to do, and besides that is was what he taught me to do.We are as
busy here today as we have ever been with the hobby growing more interesting and stronger
every day.We cater to all customers from all over the U.S.and even overseas, in the
country of Holland. We strive to gain customers 100% satisfaction, and only do what the
customer wants done to the tractor. |
